On the auspicious occasion of Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe’s birthday, on 28 June every year, Santulan Ayurveda and the Atmasantulana Village celebrate the Garbha Sanskar Awards. Thousands of families choose to undergo the process of Garbha Sanskar to plan for a child every year. The annual award is a celebration of the efforts they have taken that will benefit their child throughout life.
The process began a couple of months ago. The garbhasanskar.in website publishes the age guidance of the child for the award for the current year. Parents can fill in the online form or download and post a physical form to Santulan Ayurveda. The form, which is arecord of the child’s developmental progress, becomes the basis for the assessment of the child for the award.
On 28th June, the SKY Centre Auditorium was packed with families and their children. On stage were Chief Guest Smt. Dhanashree Lele, Shri Sunil Tambe, Shri Abhijit Pawar, Dr. Malvika Tambe and Dr. Bhagyashree.
Dr. Bhagyashree began by providing an outline of the Ayurvediya Garbhasankar project conceived and authored by Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe and the runaway success of the book and CD which form the basis of the practice. Dr. Malvika explained the need for the mother and child’s nurturing through Ayurveda and how the ultimate aim was to create responsible children and citizens who can contribute to society around them. The foundational step was both good health and good values and Garbhasanskar took care of both aspects.
Shri Sunil Tambe offered inspiration to the families present and explained the role of a father in the entire concept. Shri Abhijit Pawar, who has been a pillar through his media organisations, Saam TV and the Sakal newspaper, in spreading this project to the masses, offered his tribute to Shreeguruji too.
Our Chief Guest for the event, Smt. Dhanashree Lele, is a multifaceted personality. A powerful orator, Smt. Lele is a Sanskrit expert with a deep study of the Shrimad Bhagawad Geeta, writings of the saints and other philosophical and religious texts. She is an interviewer and anchor and has graced radio and stage shows, and popular TV shows like Yamanrang, Swaramayi Pu. La., He Shabd Reshamache and Gaataa Rahe Meraa Dil. Her inspiring oratory created a fantastic atmosphere for the announcement of the Garbha Sankar Puraskar Winners of 2022.
The Winners
Four families were announced winners of the Puraskar for their exceptional adherence to the process of Ayurvediya Garbvha Sanskar as provided by Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe. These children also exhibited phenomenal developmental progress and through various considerations were considered extraordinary. Given the closeness of the competition, 3 participants were chosen for joint 2nd place, and one participant was awarded the 1st place. All the participating families received certificates of appreciation for their thoughtful efforts in performing the Ayurvediya Garbha Sanskar for their children.
