The 28th of March 2022 will be remembered by Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe’s followers and well-wishers as the moment in time when he has been recognized at the national level for a lifetime of offering solutions and inspiration.
Like the other awardees, the Tambe family had been invited and hosted by the Government of India in Delhi for the event. There was a rehearsal held on the morning of the investiture, as people needed to follow protocol and rules while conducting themselves in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
At the event, as per protocol, only three members from each awardee’s contingent were offered entry. Smt. Veena Tambe, was accompanied by Shri Sunil and Smt Dr. Malvika, and Shri Sanjay, to accept on Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe’s behalf. As his name was announced, Smt. Veenaji rose, looking resplendent, greeted the Home Minister and Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji, and then stood on the approach to the President, Shri Ram Nath Kovind ji. Her dignified smile, large aura, confident steps and graceful acceptance reflected her inner strength and sense of occasion while accepting a national honour on behalf of Shreeguruii’s achievements.
We, disciples and followers, will be eternally grateful for this honour bestowed upon Shreeguruji. While his award was for Medicine (Ayurveda), his work has a far greater ambit, bringing together the best of the ancient traditions in solutions that suit people today. Ayurveda (Santulan), simplified Yoga (SKY), a highly effective meditation technique (SOM), an approach to spiritual living that is as inspiring as it is simple, and as effective as it is principled (the Life in Balance Movement). It is up to his followers to make efforts to continue to spread his life-changing methods to as many people as possible through his writings, books, music, products, videos, events and lifestyle programs, so that they may become the means to carry forward the benefits they have received.
We pray that Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe’s name continues to garner greater recognition, as his work and blessings will definitely improve the lives of generations to come.
