Joy and Togetherness at Santulan Veda Festival Seminar 2022!

Published Categorized as Events to Note

The Santulan Veda Festival Seminar, initiated by Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe more than three decades ago, is a place where all his teachings come into living practice i.e. celebrating life, learning to Trust in the Supreme through the initiation of the Master and experiencing all of this as one conscious community! Participants get a glimpse of these wonderful concepts during these precious days together every year!

From Yoga, to eating together, learning stotras, attending the very entertaining kirtan to the meditations that offered a deeply inward experience, the packed seminar covered a number of activities in 5 powerful days.

The core of the seminar was a collection of Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe’s videos that explained the SOM Program, and essential questions around spiritual seeking. The practice of some of the essential parts of the SOM Program was demonstrated by Shri Sunil Tambe every morning, introduced in an early session by Dr. Bhagyashree. Shri Sunil Tambe explained AUM, SOM and HOMA, the 3 stages of the SOM Program created by Shreeguruji. He also conducted very highly appreciated AUM singing and stotra learning sessions. Dr. Malvika Tambe’s lecture on understanding the basics of how Ayurveda works was received with great enthusiasm and was put up on YouTube by popular demand. We were also grateful to Shri Aniruddha Pujari for leading the Vedic chanting and invoking blessings on the group.

One of India’s best young classical singers, Shri Rahul Deshpande, performed at the SKY Centre auditorium. His outstanding and deeply spiritual renditions transported the entire audience, and even his regular listeners found this to be a surpassing performance. Shri Bhatye Buva, one of Maharashtra’s most respected kirtankars, and a regular at the seminar for many years, raised the energy through a kirtan, a maha arati and a glorious prabhat pheri experience. Healing music flowed through every day of the seminar with a compilation concert of Shreeguruji’s sublime renditions on one day and the Santulan Music Group performing a live music concert on another.

The Gurupurnima day is always special. As day guests poured in and we offered our respects, Shreeguruji’s presence, which was felt deeply throughout the seminar, became all the more palpale. The energy of disciples and participants, people’s willingness to receive the Master’s words and blessings, those who attended in person and online, was a magical experience. Above all, we are thankful to Shreeguruji for all his creation and being an ocean of grace for us all.

The images below will express all that we could not say in words above. Enjoy!
