Our yearly pilgrimage – Maaghi Ganapati celebrated traditionally in Shreeguruji’s ancestral village
The annual pilgrimage to Shreeguruji’s ancestral village, Khedkudi, near Ratnagiri has been continued even under the gloom of Covid Omicron wave, albeit by fewer people this year. This pilgrimage has been a source of inspiration for devotees with many people reporting extraordinary feelings and experiences during these yearly tours with Shreeguruji.
Khedkudi’s Swayanbhu Ganapti temple is cared for by Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe’s extended family and other families nearby and through the pandemic they have managed to continue the service of the temple as well as host the annual festival. The group from the Atamasantulana Village feels blessed to be able to continue to participate in the Maaghi Ganapati Jayanti festival.
Visit by a friend and well-wisher – Shri Ramdasji Athavale
On 20th February this year the Atmasantulana Village received a pleasant visit from Shri Ramdas Athavale, President of the Republican Party of India (A) and currently serving as Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. He is a Member of Parliament and represents Maharashtra in the Rajya Sabha.
Shri Ramdas Athavale has visited Atmasantulana Village several times before and also benefited from the health advice of Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe. He had come to offer his respects to Smt. Veena Tambe and congratulate her, Sunil Tambe, and the rest of the family on Shreeguruji being conferred with the Padmashree. He has offered to always support the work of the Atmasantulana Village and Santulan Ayurveda at a governmental level whenever required. We feel honoured to count Shri Ramdas Athavale among our well-wishers and hope that he finds more opportunities in future to spend time in our village!
Aum Temple Anniversary – 33 years since the temple was founded!
Our beloved Aum Temple at the Atmasantulana Village became 33 years old on 12 February 2022. Built by Shreeguru Dr. Balaji Tambe, it was one of the earliest buildings of the Atmasantulana Village. One of the basic purposes of this village was to create a place where people could meditate as a group without the worry of the world and the temple has been charged with thousands of meditation sessions led by Shreeguruji
The spire of the temple also serves as the focal point of YOPF (Yoga of Peace and Friendship). This is an innovative collective energy practice initiated by Shreeguruji. Those who sign up must give one minute everyday between 7 and 7.10 pm local time and think about peace, prosperity and friendship for the whole world. They should send these thought vibrations to the spire of the Aum Temple, where they concentrated and are distributed to the whole world. It is trust in activities like this that can help the seeker develop themselves and also offer the benefits of their efforts to society around them.
Dr. Malvika Tambe stresses on the next generation taking up Ayurveda during Young Inspirators Network lecture
The Young Inspirators network organized a virtual lecture by Dr. Malvika Tambe for the students and academics at the Gomantak Ayurveda College and Research Centre in Shiroda. Dr. Malvika spoke about how even though Ayurveda is an ancient science its principles will always remain modern since it is a highly personalised and holistic approach.
She encouraged students to look at hugely successful Ayurvedic therapies such as Garbhasanskar and find out from their own experience and self-study, what lifestyle and health approaches will benefit them. They should look at their rich heritage in the sciences and ensure that these systems are used wherever appropriate in their lives.
She reiterated that Ayurveda is a holistic science that also takes into account the mental and spiritual aspects of the health condition of the patient and is probably the only medical approach that also has solutions for all three levels of health and well-being.
